  • How to get a film if it is not in our collection

We will spend the remaining time in open lab where you can ask questions and get assistance with your research efforts for your class assignment.

Searching the Catalog

Use the Library Discovery Catalog, to find information about your film or play.

You can also use subject headings to refine your search. For example:

If you are trying find a video/film you can look for it using the Library discovery search.

If the film is not available in our collection, you can request it from Interlibrary Loan if it is available.

  • Use the WorldCat link
  • Search for your title
  • Limit to Visual Resources
  • Send Request to Illiad

The Library also has a number of streaming video options.  Online resources, for example Internet Archive, has a large collection of Feature Films available online.

In addition to these resources, there are also a number of databases at the library that you may find useful in your search.
