How to Request Books Via PASCAL

Before requesting books through interlibrary loan, make sure it is not available through PASCAL. Borrowing books through PASCAL is usually quicker than through interlibrary loan. Remember, PASCAL is for books only!

Flow Chart

  1. Make sure we don't have the book at the library (physically or electronically) by searching our catalog or the Discovery Service. If the book shows as "Available" in either the catalog or Discovery Service, it will not let you request it through PASCAL.
  2. Search for the book using the PASCAL catalog (PASCALCAT). You can also search PASCAL from within a Discovery Service or Classic Catalog search; just look in the right column for the emblem pictured below.
  3. Once your book arrives and is ready for pickup you will receive an email at the address from your circulation account. You can always check on the progress of a request by logging in to My Library Account
