North Campus Library: What services are offered?

Description of the resources, facility, and services available at the North Campus Library.

Available to Students

College of Charleston students have access to over 709,975 print volumes, over 618,642 electronic books, over 3,000 legacy print journals, 516 current print journals subscriptions,  and 83,500 electronic journals. The library subscribes to over 326 electronic databases. College of Charleston students attending classes at the North Campus also have access to the Center for Student Learning, which offers extended after hours support and many online learning aids. The Center for Student Learning includes a Writing Lab to aid students throughout the writing process; a Math Lab, assisting students in algebra, statistics, and calculus; a Speaking Lab to assist speakers in preparing presentations for specific audiences; and an Accounting Lab to provide support for students enrolled in accounting courses. 

The College of Charleston Library system was a charter member of PASCAL (Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries). PASCAL expands the universe of available books and interlibrary loan material to include all public and private colleges and universities in South Carolina, encompassing the collections at Clemson, Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina campuses. Traditional interlibrary loan is also available to request materials worldwide. Guides with tutorials for using these services are available for students and faculty.
