The 2nd and 3rd floors of the library are designated as "quiet areas." Students should refrain from talking on these floors. If students must talk, they should either reserve a study room or move to the 1st floor where talking is permitted. There is a general reading room on the 3rd floor for quiet study and reflection. Tallking is not permitted in this area.
Collaborative Study Rooms may be reserved for groups of three or more persons. Go to https://libcal.library.cofc.edu/reserve/studyrooms to book a study room. To reserve, choose a time slot and room number, then enter your name and College of Charleston email address. You must confirm your reservation within 30 minutes. The time slots are 1 hour long, and you can reserve up to 2 hours per day and up to 3 days per week.
Graduate students may use the Graduate Study Room, on the third floor, Pitt street side of Addlestone. Talking is not permitted.
