CofC Libraries Access & Instruction Desk: Signs

Signs in Addlestone Library

Addlestone Library Signage

The Library strongly prefers digital signs to support efforts to keep library spaces free of clutter and to reduce use of paper. Print signs that are not related to services provided in Addlestone Library are not permitted and will be removed. Typically, only rack cards and bookmarks are able to be accommodated in the acrylic holders at the desks in the library. All signage must be approved by the Dean of Libraries or by Associate Dean Christa Poparad (poparadce@cofc.edu) as the Dean's designee.

Digital Signs in Addlestone Library

Addlestone Library accepts only College related digital signs compatible with Visix. Your department’s or organization's official College logo must appear on the sign. Most Visix displays in academic buildings on campus have a horizontal orientation that is 1920 wide x 1080 high pixels. In addition, the library requires that you provide your sign in jpeg or png file format. When creating your sign, you must follow the College Brand Manual, which includes the accepted color palette and type families. Email your sign to Associate Dean Christa Poparad (poparadce@cofc.edu) for approval. Once approved, your sign will be posted on the 4 digital displays in the library.
