This is a guide that will provide resources and information about early activism and rebellions by Black/African Americans in the Lowcountry



The guide will provide information about resources at the College of Charleston Libraries on early rebellions developed by Black/African Americans. 

This guide is for students, scholars, and the general public who are interested in doing research on the subject matter. 

This guide will grow and add information. The first to be added is Denmark Vesey, other pages to be developed include
