Searching Census Data: Drill Down to Census Tracts

Drill down to census tracts

Example video (explains how to drill down to census tracts) https://www.census.gov/data/academy/data-gems/2020/how-to-access-data-for-your-neighborhood.html

This video includes the explanation that the census does not publish 1 year estimates from American Community survey. One year estimates are only available for areas with 65,000 people or more. Tract population is up to 8,000 people (optimum 4,000 people). If you do not see data for your tracts, change the 5-year estimates subject table years from the drop down menu at the top of the screen.

On the map view, use the select tool to grab multiple tracts to widen your geographic area.
