Addlestone Library is accessible only to College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff, Friends of the Library, or those with appointments for services offered in the library. NEW Cougar Cards, FOL cards, or appointment emails are required for entry. Face coverings and social distancing are also required. The specially tailored C.A.R.E. program is available for our students no matter where a crime occurs on or off campus, or whether the student elects to file an official police report or not.
Certified victim assistance specialists address the immediate and long-term questions and issues, handle the non-counseling fallout from the crime, attend to ongoing distractions or interruptions,and work to resolve any matters or concerns that arise related to the crime and its impact on the college experience.
Peer Counselors provide supportive listening, help with decision making, and referrals for various campus and local services and activities. All of this is offered in a confidential, non-judgmental environment.
