Student Instructional Technology provides many tutorials and resources to help you with your online classes.
This Interactive tutorial gives you a score and lets you know if you are ready or may need to develop some skills before trying an online class. Your score can be printed out or emailed to a professor.

When you try to access article databases from off-campus, you will be directed to a page asking you to log in with your MyCharleston account name and password. Follow the instructions below to log in.

Use ID and password supplied by the Marine Resources Library. Use all lowercase characters.

ILL and Document Delivery for DE Students
Interlibrary loan (ILL) will send physical items to distance education (DE) students who live outside the Tri-County area (Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkley Counties). Return postage will be included with the item(s) shipped to DE students.
Obtaining ILL/Document Delivery Services for DE Students
DE students must agree to additional terms and conditions when signing up for an ILL account. They include the following:
A statement regarding the student’s responsibility for items lost while in their possession, as verified by the parcel’s tracking records.
The importance of supplying the correct mailing address which is outside the Tri-County area.
The importance of supplying a correct email address and telephone number.
For articles and passages held at College of Charleston Libraries, ILL will scan and deliver electronically, within copyright.
South Carolina DE students may request that PASCAL materials be delivered to any PASCAL institution.
You can renew books in three (3) ways:
Overdue books cannot be renewed online. Please phone 843-953-8000 to renew overdue books.
Books may be renewed up to 2 times.
