The One Button Studio: Create Video in 3 Simple Steps
Penn State One Button Studio Support provides helpful tips for common Flash drive recording errors.
The One Button Studio (OBS) is a simple, easy to use video recording lab located at Addlestone Library, Room 136, adjacent to the Access & Instruction Desk. The Studio is equipped with lights, audio, and cameras and can be used by College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff to practice and record presentations without video production experience.
The One Button Studio can also be reserved for podcasting and audio recording. A Blue Yeti USB microphone is available for checkout at the Access & Instruction Desk and GarageBand and Audacity audio editing software is available on the Mac computer designated for podcasting.
Some types of video projects work well in the One Button Studio. When building assignments or planning a recording session consider some of these ideas:
Presentation practice, rehearsing individual or group oral presentations.
Practicing your public speaking skills, preparing for conference presentations, thesis and dissertation defenses, poster sessions,
or research exhibitions.
Practicing interviewing skills for internship or job interviews.
Creating videos for course introductions, online instruction, training, recruitment, or posting to social media.
Creating pitch videos, recording innovative videos for class projects.
Recording interviews, podcasts.
Creating video essays.
Language Practice.
