Hardware and Software

Software and Hardware

  • The PC mounted behind the TV features Windows 10, Office 2016, VLC, and Skype for Business.  The computer is equipped with an HD webcam and Bluetooth speakerphone for Skype conference calls. There is a 75" 4K TV in the room.
  • AppleTV for sharing your own device's screen is easy.  All Apple products have AirPlay built in -- just look for the icon. From a Windows device - follow the on-screen instructions to use Ditto.
  • All CofC employees have access to Skype for Business using their campus credentials.  This account allows for video conferencing with more than one person at a time, instant messaging, screen sharing, and call recording.  For more information on Skype Business features, visit What is Skype - business version and how is it different from Skype? Requesting Assistance

Please submit all internal Library requests for webinar/meeting setups, library technology room setups, and presentation/presenter assistance to the Library Support Ticket System at least 24 hours prior to the requesting time/date.   Please note that the requests can only be submitted from campus at this time. Submitting your requests using the Library Support Ticket System will allow us to coordinate our schedules and provide the best service possible between 8 am and 4 pm, Mon - Fri.  When submitting a ticket please make sure to include all relevant information.  

Webinar or meeting please include:

  1. Room location
  2. Date/Time (and Time Zone)
  3. Webinar Title
  4. Name and Email Registered with Webinar
  5. Webinar URL
  6. Webinar join password
  7. Is a phone line required?
  8. Is Skype required?

Presenter assistance please include:

  1. Room location
  2. Date
  3. Talk Title/Affiliation
  4. Presenter Needs 
  5. Contact Information for the Presenter (email and phone)
  6. Setup/Dry Run Time
  7. Time of Talk

After Hours Support

  • The library staff member responsible for scheduling the room is welcome but not required to submit a support ticket to have the room set up and equipment checked before an after hours event.
  • The technology team is available between 8am and 4pm.
  • The technology team will check the equipment in cases where a request is made.  This doesn’t guarantee that the equipment will work at the time of the afterhours event.
  • If there is a technology issue after hours, please call the IT Service Desk 953-3375 for after hours support.  The IT Service Desk should have trained staff on hand until 10pm and on weekends to assist with technology issues as they relate to classrooms and presentations.

The Library Meeting room is located on the first floor of the Addlestone Library. The room may only be booked by the Library Administration. The room is equipped with a PC, 75" 4K TV, AppleTV, whiteboard, VOIP conference phone and HD video conferencing capabilities. Each user may login to the PC with their own credentials or, stream wirelessly to the AppleTV from their own device.

If assistance is needed with any of the equipment in the room, make sure to submit your request 24 hours prior to the requesting time/date to the Library Support Ticket System
