Requesting Assistance

Internal Library Requests

Please submit all internal Library requests for webinar/meeting setups, library technology room setups, and presentation/presenter assistance to the Library Support Ticket System at least 24 hours prior to the requesting time/date.  Please note that the requests can only be submitted from campus at this time. Submitting your requests using the Library Support Ticket System will allow us to coordinate our schedules and provide the best service possible between 8 am and 4 pm, Mon - Fri. When submitting a ticket please make sure to include all relevant information.  

Webinar or meeting please include:

  1. Room location
  2. Date/Time (and Time Zone)
  3. Webinar Title
  4. Name and Email Registered with Webinar
  5. Webinar URL
  6. Webinar join password
  7. Is a phone line required?
  8. Is Skype required?

Presenter assistance please include:

  1. Room location
  2. Date
  3. Talk Title/Affiliation
  4. Presenter Needs 
  5. Contact Information for the Presenter (email and phone)
  6. Setup/Dry Run Time
  7. Time of Talk

After Hours Support

  • The library staff member responsible for scheduling the room is welcome but not required to submit a support ticket to have the room set up and equipment checked before an after hours event.
  • The technology team is available between 8am and 4pm.  
  • The technology team will check the equipment in cases where a request is made.  This doesn’t guarantee that the equipment will work at the time of the afterhours event.
  • If there is a technology issue after hours, please call the IT Service Desk 953-3375 for after hours support.  The IT Service Desk should have trained staff on hand until 10pm and on weekends to assist with technology issues as they relate to classrooms and presentations.

 

Multimedia/Meeting Room 236

Room 236 serves as both a Library meeting space and a multimedia viewing room. The room is available to faculty and staff and may be reserved at the Access & Instruction Desk to conduct research, view webinars, and participate in other instructional activities for small groups. Room 236 is located on the second floor of the Addlestone Library, to the far left of the main stairwell. The room has a Windows PC computer with USB 2.0, and a DVD drive. This computer has no software programs for editing audio, video and images, authoring DVDs, or publishing multimedia projects, as this is done in Room 120 or in the Video Production Lounge. The room is also equipped with a Samsung flat screen TV.

Dongles, remote, cables and other accessories are available for checkout at the Access & Instruction Desk.
