The One Button Studio (OBS) is located on the first floor of the Addlestone Library, room 136. It is adjacent to the Circulation Desk.


The One Button Studio is open during Library Hours of Operation. 

Open Access Room

The OBS is an Open Access Room. Reservations have priority. If you are using the OBS without a valid reservation, you must leave when asked by the holder of a valid reservation. The OBS is open and available on a first come, first served basis.

What is It?

The One Button Studio (OBS) is a simple, easy to use video recording lab with lights, audio, and cameras that can be used by College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff to practice and record presentations without video production experience. The recording system was designed by Penn State.

How Does the One Button Studio Work?

Welcome to the One Button Studio

  1. Plug your own USB flash drive into the USB dock to activate the Studio camera and lights. 
  2. Press the large silver button to start and stop recording.
  3. Remove your USB flash drive from the USB dock to deactivate the Studio Camera and lights.
