What exactly is LSA?

The Library Student Ambassadors (LSA) is a student user working group that helps shape student library experiences. LSA engages in conversation with library staff about the College Libraries’s resources, services and spaces while promoting library resources to fellow students. Our work bridges the communication gap between students and the library staff (Marquez & Downey, 2016).

As members of the CofC student body, The Library Student Ambassadors represent the needs and desires of students while also maintaining an established relationship with the library staff. These dialogues are productive and often help institute improvements to library resources, services, and spaces. LSA also combats misinformation and misconceptions concerning the library by sharing our insider knowledge with the student body. LSA exists to serve the dual roles of student-resources and student advocates in order to ensure that students have the resources to reach their full academic potential.
