Associate Dean for Access, Instruction, and Assessment in the College of Charleston Libraries
I work closely with colleagues in the Library and in the wider College community to develop and support an overall vision for academic library services that support the College's strategic plan. I am responsible for overseeing access to and instruction in the use of library materials for the academic community, which includes the Access & Instruction Services unit in Addlestone Library and the Marine Resources Library, as well as access and instruction services throughout the College Libraries. I oversee the work of 18 permanent full-time faculty and staff members and 17 student employees. I also provide strategic leadership in planning and implementing innovative library services, foster information and digital literacy within the College via an active instruction program, serve as the library’s Assessment Officer, supervise coordinator positions within the unit, lead cross-departmental strategic and operational initiatives, and chair library-wide committees.
