STEP 1: Make sure you are not already logged into Kanopy with the CofC Libraries' subscription. If you are the Kanopy LOG IN button still displays. To check if you are already logged in, click the Kanopy LOG IN button at the top-right of the screen.
If you see College of Charleston in the Banner on the next page (shown below), you are already logged in and can view content.
You do not HAVE TO sign up for a personal account in order to access Kanopy film titles, but you can to get some additional Kanopy features.
If you determined you are not already logged in through CofC Libraries, proceed to STEP 2.
STEP 2: Click on the link to the Kanopy Database. If you have not already authenticated your access, you will be brought to this page. Click the LOG IN TO COC button.
STEP 3: The next page looks like this. Click the LOG IN TO COC button (again). This will open another window (show in STEP 3).
STEP 4: Use your MyCharleston credentials to log in on the pop-up window. Once successfully authenticated, you should be brought to the Kanopy home page where you can start viewing content.
STEP 5 (optional): After successfully authenticating, note that there are “LOGIN” and “SIGN UP” buttons on Kanopy pages. From these buttons, you can create or log in to your own Kanopy account to keep track of viewing history and create favorite title lists, but please know this login does not authenticate you for access through CofC libraries.
